Udupi: Two drivers, Ramu(40) and Sivakumar(37) of a Tamilnadu state transport bus coming from Sathyamangalam (near Coimbatore) to Nitte (Udupi taluk),on way had molested a 16 year old girl and sexually harassed her in the bus, on the night of Wednesday, after she and her younger brother boarded the bus to reach their parents in Udupi.
The drivers forced the boy to sit on a separate seat, and molested the sister all through the journey from Satyamangalam to Udupi, it is alleged. The girl and brother got down at padubidri on Thursday morning. The girl noted down the numbers of the bus and mobiles of the drivers. She informed the parents, who collected a group of relatives and went to the Udupi bus stand.
The group caught the 2 drivers on their return trip on being identified by the molested girl, and got a bashing before being handed identified by the molested girl, and got a bashing before being handed over to Udupi police at Padubidri station.
The case of sexual harassment is under investigation.
