Udupi: “Tapta Mudradharane’ a Madhwa tradition took place at the Sri Krishna Mutt at Udupi on June 30, Saturday when hundreds of devotees arrived in the Mutt to be administered Tapta Mudradharane by Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Sode Vadiraj Mutt.
There is a belief that Tapta Mudradharane would prevent many diseases caused by germs and strengthens the immune system of man. A long metal in the form of Shanka Chakra is heated in Sudarshana Home and the Mudra or marking is done on the arms of the devotees. Even the Kaniyoor and Shiroor Seers conducted Tapta Mudradharane in their mutts.
