Kundapur:  If the police have still failed to make any headway into the recent suspicious death of Yogish Ganiga, a taxi driver of Thariberu near Hemmady whose body was found hanging recently, there has been an interesting turn to the case with the family of the deceased claiming that the spirit of Yogish entered his mother Gulabi’s body and has revealed that he did not commit suicide, but was murdered by friends and some unidentified people. Yogish was found dead on September 26.

According to the family, the spirit of Yogish entered his mother’s body four day after his death stating that two of his friends requested for a drop when he was on way to Nada from Aloor  and four others soon joined them. The spirit also reportedly told that they strangled him with the seat belt and then took him to a forest area near Kabettu and hung him to a tree where he breathed his last.

This development has aroused much curiosity in the vicinity. The spirit, is also learnt to have named the two friends responsible for the murder and Yogish’s brother has already lodged a complaint with the Gangolli police naming the two accused.

Investigations are under progress.
