Belthangady : Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari has requested the people not to sell their valuable votes in exchange for notes.
Addressing an election campaign meeting of Congress candidate K Vasanth Bangera at Maddadka on May 1 Wednesday, he said politicians are having undue pride these days. Once elected they would resort to all sorts of misdeeds. The BJP which was elected to power in Karnataka resorted to widespread corruption and was involved in several scams and was responsible for atrocities on women.
Congress will never resort to such acts, he said and urged voters to reject BJP.
KPCC Member B Rajashekhar Ajri, District Congress Vice President Peetambar Heraje, Block Congress President Harish Kumar and others were present.
