Mangalore : ‘Medha’ a workshop for BEd students was organized at Ramakrishna Mutt on Sept 10, Wednesday.
Participating as the chief guest, Ramakrishna Ashram (Mysore) President Swami Muktidanandaji said that the Teachers need spiritual training to motivate student’s trough the high potential.
He also said that today the society lacks moral values and this is the result of negligence towards spiritual values which causes many problems.
He said that the real education must not only bring body, mind and soul together but also unfold spirituality from within. Education is more important than religion.
Teacher must train students and help them to bring out their hidden knowledge through self actualization. Hence teacher needed to have more knowledge on the power of mind and spirituality which inspires the students, he said.
Delivering the inaugural speech, KIOCL CMD Malay Chatterjee said that there are several loopholes in the current educational pattern. In future, education system must be related to inner soul rather than the outer world.
Meritorious students were distributed with scholarships on the occasion.
