Mangaluru: “Teachers should try implanting humanity in children along with academic requirements,” said Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo.
He was speaking in teachers day celebration programme organised by ZP, Sarvajanika Shiskshana Ilakhe and teachers’ welfare foundation, at St Aloysius auditorium on Monday.
“If we succeed in developing humanitarian values in students now itself, after becoming youth they will lead a good life and we can expect a good generation ahead. Peace can be brought though humanity only. Now day’s youth are killing people for the sake of animals,” he said.
He further said that teachers have the responsibility of sculpting future generation. There are lots of hurdles in front of teachers, but they shouldn’t loss their patience. Thoigh achievement of some teachers may not recognised, they should feel bad on this, but they should continue their service.
60 retired teachers who fell in Magaluru north zone were felicitated on the occasion.
ZP Vice-President Kasturi Panja, Rajalakshmi, manjula K L, Primary School Teachers Association President Bhujanaga Poojary and others were present.
