Mangalore: A Private group of adult kite fliers from Mangalore had represented India at the Dubai Festival held at outlet Mall in Dubai. It was a part of Basant (spring) and Lori(Lullabee) festivals, and was held for the first time there.
Team Mangalore presented their best kites like Durga, Kathakkali, Yakshagana, Owl, Charlie and Ravan’s Pushpak Vimana. Kite fliers from Dubai and across the world were present.
The Team held workshops and classes to teach kids how to make the rare kites on display. They gave away some kites to local children too.
Team’s Pushpaka Vimana drew appreciation in Sri Lanka. It secured first place in Udaipur for unique kite Design.
The 4-member team of Sarvesh Rao participated in Belgaum Festival on January 15-16, organised by Belgaum MLA for soldiers. It is performing on January 21-22 at Panambur beach near NMPT in city, with ONGC as sponsors
