Mangalore: A technical snag in the railway signal system at Mangalore Junction (Kankanady) Station, resulted in disruption of train services for more than one and a half hours on July 12, Thursday. Three trains were stopped on the track until the error was rectified.
The Mangalore Puttur train which had arrived at the station at 6.30 pm had to remain stranded till 8.10 pm inconveniencing passengers and finally reached its destination at 9 pm.
Even the Mangalore-Bangalore and Konkan trains were affected. However, the passengers in the trains were kept totally in the dark about the problem causing some amount of panic.
