Kundapur: In a tragic incident reported, a teenager was killed after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Monday midnight near Unity Hall in the taluk. The incident is said to be a case of hit-and-run.

Sandeep Shetty (19), resident of Moodubage village was a second year ITI student at Bidkalkatte. He used to work in a hotel to support his family and studies. It is said that he was returning home by bike with another friend when the accident took place. Sandeep suffered severe head injuries and succumbed on way to the hospital.

Sandeep’s father is said to be employed in a hotel at Shivamogga.

As soon as the news spread, several college students arrived at the mortuary.

A case was registered and investigations are on.
