Mangaluru : BJP spokesperson and former Member of Parliament, Tejaswini Ramesh, supporting MP Anant Kumar Hegde and his statements against Sasikanth Senthil said, “Try to understand the feelings behind his tweet.”
Speaking on the issue Tejaswini said that Senthil’s stance after his resignation had resulted in Hegde’s reaction.
She further added, “Taking this into account, Hegde has tweeted that if these people did not have patriotism in them, let them go to Pakistan.”
Senthil had worked in a prejudiced manner, in favour of a particular class of people, against the wishes of the constitution, she alleged.
BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde said that if the IAS officer who quit his job over Article 370 could call the government fascist, he has all right to call him another paid gaddar.
Anantkumar was referring to IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil who submitted his resignation saying that the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir was one of the reasons for his decision to resign, calling it a fascist onslaught.
“If this guy can conclude that the Union Government is fascist; then we have the liberty to call him another paid gaddar, dancing to the tunes set by his real paymasters! This may be the debate he wants to initiate!” Anantkumar Hegde tweeted.
In another tweet, he said, “The state government should realize that it should have sacked him after he opened his polluted mindset against the Union Government. But cajoling this Gaddar to return, amounts to treacherous act against the Nation.”
IAS officer S Sasikanth Senthil submitted his resignation from the service on Friday, September 6 telling ‘friends’ in a letter that the fundamental building blocks of democracy are being compromised in an unprecedented manner.”
