Mangaluru : The Mangaluru and other parts of the district received heavy rains on June 2 evening. The sudden fall rain trouble the people, that such heavy rains would be experienced before the arrival of monsoon.

The rain inconvenienced pedestrians and motorists as several places have been dug up and there were no warning sign boards too adding to the problem.

The city also witnessed traffic block at several places. The pedestrians in main bus stands at Statebank area was  seen as running away from rain.

Thokkottu, Deralakatte, Mudipu, Suratkal, Mulki, Padubidri, Kaup, Haleyangady, Shirva, Manipal, Brahmavar too received good rains.
