Mangalore : The temple across the city celebrated Ananta Chaturdashi, which falls on the 10th and penultimate day of the great Ganesha festival that begins with Ganesh Chaturthi. on September 8, Monday.
On this day, Lord Vishnu adorned the alankar of Lord Ananta in Sri Venkataramana Temple.
The festival is also celebrated in Sri Mahamaya Temple, Acharya Math, Sri Gokarna Math, Varadaraja Math, Katyayini Math, Parvathacharya Math, Nandadeepa, Jodu Math, Gokarna Math and Kalikamba Sri Vinayaka Temple.
Ananta Chaturdashi in Sanskrit, means eternal fourteenth day. Since, it falls on the 14th day of the bright fortnight or ‘Shukla Paksha’ according to Hindu calendar.
