Mangalore: Special poojas to appease rain god were held in various temples across the district on July 26, Friday as per the orders of the Mujrai department. Reports said poojas were offered at the Mangaladevi temple and Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple among other temples.

However, in Subrahamanya, no special poojas were held and temple sources said the pooja was conducted on the occasion of Nagara Panchami itself.
