Mangalore : Union minister for transport, road and highways and labor and employment Oscar Fernandes said that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was chosen to the post by AICC president Sonia Gandhi and work together for the development of the country.

Speaking at the press meet held at Congress election office on April 14, Monday, he said that ten-year regime of the Congress-led UPA is appreciated, which has turned the dream of nation into reality.

Commenting on the Baru’s book, Oscar said that PMO has already clarified its stand on the controversy raked by the book.

Former chief minister of Goa Luizinho Faleiro said that BJP is deeply involved in campaign all over the country with the example of Gujarat model of development which is a far from truth since Gujarat was backward in health sector, education as well as farming sectors.
