Bangalore: Eleven out of the 14 persons who were arrested a few days ago on the charges of terror links have been remanded to judicial custody till October 11 by the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court. The police custody period of the accused ended on Thursday. The court, however, extended the police custody of Mohamed Akram and Obedulla-Ur-Rehman, the other two accused in the case, till September 29.
Those remanded to judicial custody are Shoaib Ahmed Mirza, Abdulla Hakim, Ejaz Mahammed Mirza, Mahammed Yusaf Nababand, Riyaz Ahmed Byahatti, Muthi-Ur-Rehman Siddiqui, Obedulla Imran Bahadur, Mahammed Sadiq Lashkar, Wahid Hussain, Mahaboob Bagalkot and Dr Jaffar Iqbal Sholapur, were remanded in judicial custody.
According to reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was likely to take over the probe in the terror suspect arrest case.
