Mangalore : It was a great ice cream eating day for as many as 30 teams of two members each which took part in the Ice Cream Premier League (IPL) organised by the food review body The 3 Hungry Men at Hangyo’s newly opened Icy Creamz Parlour at Divya Deepa Arcade. Pepsi and 92.7 Big FM were the sponsors of the event.

In the first round each team had to eat half a litre of ice cream in the minimum possible round. A total of six teams made it to the semi finals and three teams eventually emerged the winners. Dhiwin Varma and Suraj Shetty won the first prize and bagged two IPL tickets for the match to be played between Royal Challengers and Kigns XI Punjab   at Bangalore on May 14. The first runners up  Staj Soften and Rohith  bagged  two vouchers worth Rs 500. Sonal Karkera and Austin were the second runners-up. Sonal Karkera bagged the special Man of the Match Prize for eating half a litre ice cream in a recod time of one minute and 16 seconds.

The winners got the prizes from Kiran of Pepsi and F S Miranda, Marketing Manager of Hangyo. Nikhil Pai and Colin D’Souza of The 3 Hungry Men were among others present on the occasion.
