Mangalore : The Gowd Saraswat Brahmins (GSB) community celebrated the annual Kodial Teru (Car Festival) in the very exuberance at Sri Venkataramana Temple (Temple Square) Car Street on Thursday February 6.

Thousands of devotees carrying the deity’s idol in a golden palanquin from the shrine and located in a decorated chariot.

Sri Samyameendrateertha Swamiji the disciple of Sri Sudheendrateertha Swamiji was installed the idol on the chariot. The huge crowd of devotees did the ‘Srimad Ramaramana Govinda, Govinda chanting.

All, religious rituals were performed under the guidance of Sri Samyameendrateertha Swamiji.

The six-day festival will conclude with ‘Okkuli’ on Friday February 7.
