Mangaluru : The audio CD of Tulu film ‘Soombe’ was released simultaneously in Mangaluru and Udupi on Friday December 12.
The Film directed by Saikrishna Kudla, produced under the banner Sri Yajnadhya Productions and produced by Kishor Kottari and Shwetha K Kottari produced at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.10 crore, will be released in the month of January, 2015.
Addressing presspersons on the occasion of the release of the audio CD of the film here on Friday, Dinakar Shetty, Legal Advisor, said that the film would be released simultaneously in theatres in Mangaluru, Puttur and Udupi.
The story of the film revolves around a team of Kannada filmmakers shooting a Tulu film. “In that sense, it is a film within a film. It has elements of both action and comedy,” he said.
Rahul Amin from Dakshina Kannada, and Shritam Banerjee, a television actress from Mumbai, are playing the lead roles in the film. Other actors included are Srinagar Kitti, Bullet Prakash and Biradar.
Tulu theatre artists appearing in the film include Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D. Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar, Sundar Rai, Saikrishna Kudla and Prasanna Shetty.
The direction, story-writing and screenplay have been done by Saikrishna Kudla. The film is produced by Kishore Kottari. Hemant Kottari and Anit Kottari are co-producers of the film, with Ashwith Kottari as executive producer.
There are five songs in the film. The lyrics of these songs have been written by Shashiraj Kavoor. The music is by Edburg Dillon. The dance direction is by Madan Harini and Sada Master, Mr. Shetty said.
Dheeraj Shetty, Ashwin Amin Bantwal, Nagarjuna, Shivakumar Karje were present.
