Mangalore : The ‘Barke’ Tulu movie under the banner of Sri Renuka Chitra productions was released in Mangalore, Udupi, Bantwal and Mudbidre on Friday, February 14.

MCC, commissioner, Ajith Kumar Hegde, formally inaugurated the movie by lighting the lamp at Suchitra theatre in Mangalore.

Tulu cinema industry is growing. Tuluvas should encourage Tulu movies, Hegde said after inaugurating the movie. He also wished for the success of the Barke movie and Artists.

Bharath Krishna directed the movie and he also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Suresh Reddy, produced the movie under the banner of Sri Renuka Chitra production.

Speaking to the media person’s director Bharath Krishna said, after this film he planned to make part II of same movie. The film is showcases the real story of Barke surroundings. In the past decade, the town of Barke was known to rowdism., he added.

Congress leader Santhosh Shetty, Social worker Yajneshwar Barke, , Journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala, Producer Suresh Reddy, Nagaraj, actor, Meghana, actress, Balachandra, Bharath Krishna, director, Mutturaj, cinematographer, Ashwini, Arun Pejawar and others were present on the occasion.
