Bantwal : The Lokayukta team led by Superintendent of Police Sadanand Vernekar and DySP Umesh Shet raided the house of Arun Prakash D’Souza at Bantwal on Saturday, December 20.

Rs 1.50 crore valued assets seized from the residence of Public Works Department Junior Engineer Arun Prakash D’ Souza during the raid which was conducted from 4 a.m to 7 p.m.

Sources said, a RCC house in Bantwal, flat in Kadri, Mangaluru, two bank lockers, 1 Swift car, 1 Zen car, 1.12 kg gold, 1/2 kg silver, land documents, bank account details and other documents were seized from Arun Prakash D’ Souza’s house.

Arun Prakash D’Souza’s assets were 260 % higher than his actual income and recommended to the PWD department to suspend Arun Prakash D’Souza, SP Sadanand Vernekar said.
