Mangalore: Speaking at the valedictory function of Regional Conference of Advocates -2012, Justice B.V. Pinto of K H C, felt that introduction of ‘Evening Courts’ could help in a faster way to settle many pending cases. The meet was a joint effort of Karnataka Bar Council in Bangalore and Mangalore Bar Association, held on Monday in the city.
Judge Pinto went on to say that Gujarat had implemented the concept of Evening Courts. But shortage of judicial officers had stalled the matter here, he regretted.
He praised D K lawyers who were encouraged to become Judges by Bar Council and there were 25 of them.
MLA N. Yogish Bhat told the valedictory session of lawyers that such conferences helped them to evaluate and enhance the quality of Judiciary.
Several resolutions were made and passed, seeking representation for young advocates from every district in the state Bar Council a circuit bench of K H C in Mangalore and a SC bench in South India in Bangalore besides 7 years practice for a new Judge.
