Mangalore: The Seminary Day of the Jeppu RCC seminary was celebrated in the presence of large gathering of devotees, priests and Bishops from all over India on Thursday at Jeppu in city.
It was here that the first 7 Jesuits SJ came to India and landed in Mangalore from Europe and built the first seminary in Jeppu and work shop go with it, from whose portals over 2000 religious pastors of the church have moved out as religious graduates to spread the teachings of Christ all over India and over seize in grate humility benediction.
The holly mass of the day was conducted by the Bishop of Udupi, Rev.Gerald Isaq Lobo who recently came from Shivmogga to Udupi, to head a new diocese of 48 churches. The meeting in the open was presided over by reverend Dr. Aloysius Paul D.Souza prayers reading from the bible and expositions of religious doctrine as developed by roman charge and preaching’s of Christ with anecdotes among the members of Alma Meter featured in the one day program of celebrations in several languages but one heart. A drama ‘The Crown’ was in acted before an attentive audience, which depicted the various suffering a gentle soul has to go through to collect the reward of heavenly bliss. It was highly appreciated by those who viewed from beginning to end.
There was a grate since of friendship and an exchange of huge or experiences of the past among the invitees and dignitaries serving the cause of Christian love and brotherhood at the various programs of enjoyment of food and friendship.
Thousands of youth who had graduated from the Jeppu seminary by absorbing the lessons of Bible and parables of Christ, to serve humanity at large had a great day to themselves in Jeppu on Thursday on December 6, 2013.
