Kadaba: Awaken security guard secured the CAMPCO building from the miscreants, who were trying to enter into the building by breaking the lock, on Friday.

Areca nuts of worth in lakhs were stored in the godown of the building. Miscreants had kept an eye on the areca nut and tried to break the shutter lock in between 1 am to 2 am. After hearing the sound of breaking the lock, security Harish screamed and succeeded in protecting the godown.

Then Harish with the help of local people informed the police. Kadaba CAMPCO officials have registered a case in Kadaba police station.

Though none of the things were stolen from the building, police have taken the case seriously. Canine squad and forensic experts visited the spot.

Before attempting to break the lock, a thief damaged the CCTV camera. The loss of the incident is assumed as Rs 5000, said officials.
