Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim said that there should not be any delay in registering birth and death date.
In a meeting held at DC office on Friday he said that registration of birth date and death date has become necessary as it plays major role in the development of the nation.
“Based on the registration information all the schemes and facilities are planned. So the officials should take extra care in order for the immediate registration of birth date and death date,” he said.
District Statistical officer Dr Uday Shetty said that in 2015 1132 birth and 2720 death dates have been registered lately.
“In 2015 totally 37309 birth dates have been registered and totally 15422 death dates have been registered in DK. Since 2011 to 2015 1,92,782 birth and 84,779 death dates have been registered,” he said.
DC ordered the officials to co-operate with the public to clear the doubts regarding the registration.
