Mangalor : A person broke into railway quarters and stolen the valuables on the night of Nov 4 Friday.

The victim is identified as Pramod Kumar of Bihar, who is employed as the assistant technician of the railway signal department.

Mr. Kumar had gone home in Bihar on October 27 and during his absence, the thief have stolen  27gms of gold ornaments, 150gms silver, a DVD player, and a home theatre system. The thieves also stole Rs. 5000.

The thieves entered the house by breaking the grills of the window.

Railway union secretary Anand who resides in the same quarters saw that Pramod’s window was open and that his cupboard was open when he returned home.

As soon as he Pramod’s belongings scattered on the floor, he immediately called the Pandeshwar Police. The Pandeshwar Police have currently registered a case.
