Mangalore : A vanity bag of a woman train passenger was robbed by an unidentified person while she was travelling in the Matsyagandha express. The bag contained, cash, jewels, keys, ATM card and other things all valued at Rs 8 lakh.

The woman named Prema along with her husband Gopal Naik was on way to Mangalore. They are residents of Thane and were travelling in the S4 compartment. The theft took place near Honavar railway station.

Railway police have handed over the case to Honnavar police who are conducting investigations.
