Bantwal: Thieves have decamped with Rs 10000 cash from the room of teacher of a Madrasa at Badriya Juma Masjid, Talapady on Friday.

When the teacher of Madrasa Sadar Ustad entered his room after performing Isha Namaz, he found that some of the things in the room are not in order. Upon checking he found that Rs 10000 has been stolen from his room.

Mosque management was informed immediately and later police was called. Police have taken up the investigation.

A case has been registered at Bantwal police station.
