Mulky : Thieves decamp with several lakhs of rupees from a house located in Tokur on August 10, Sunday night.
The house belongs to Leo Cutinha, a resident of Tokur Subramanya Temple road in Mulky.
It is learnt that thieves have break opened the back door and directly entered the room and robbed gold worth Rs 2.50 lakhs, a cash of Rs 9000 along with bag of documents from the cupboard.
The members of the house are surprise to know about the theft took place, in spite of having a dog which barks even on seeing a cat.
They also suspect the involvement of people known to them since the thieves had directly entered room where gold have been kept. The thieves might have used Chlorform to make people in the house remain asleep during theft.
Finger print experts have been pressed into action.
A case have been registered at Mulky police station and investigating is on.
