Mangaluru: Unidentified culprits reportedly stolen Rs 1.4 lakh worth gold jewelry from the residence of a policeman located at police lane in Mangaluru city. Exact time of the crime is not known and the incident came into light when the policeman and his mother returned to his residence on October 12.

The incident occurred when the policeman Sudheer Kumar and his mother were out of their residence from October 10. When returned on Thursday, the duo found the lock of the main door was broken and opened. Pandeshwar police register a case on the incident and investigation is in progress
