Mangalore : Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi member of Nava Chandika Yaga Samithi, Belthangady said the samithi will perform Yaga for the well-being of CBI officers who will inquire the Sowjanya rape and murder case at Belthangady Taluk grounds on October 10 from morning 8 till afternoon.
Speaking at the press meet, he said that around 11 women priests will conduct the yaga under the guidance of K S Nithyananda Swamiji of Chikamagalur.
Around 1008 married women and Swamijis from DK, Udupi districts will also participate in the yaga. The devotees will pray for to bestow courage and good sense to investigating officials to arrest real culprits in the case. The intention of the yaga is to recall the incident before it fades from public memory.
Prior to the yaga, around 200 to 300 bikers will participate in the bike rally at Belthangady on October 6.
