Mangaluru : In an accident between a heavy truck and bike killed a newly married couple at Thokkottu overbridge on Tuesday, October 27th.

The deceased is identified as Priya Fernandes (25) and her husband Rayan Fernandes (30) residents of Bangera Lane in Ullal.

It is said, the couple were residents of Bajal and had recently married and were staying at a rented house.

As per eye witness sources, the lorry ran over the bike which was taking a turn to head towards Ullal, the couple and dragged them for a few meters while the woman died on the spot, bike rider passed away on the way to the hospital.

They were on their way back home from work at Father Muller hospital.
