Kasargod: In connection with the arrest of two persons including a Bantwal man in connection with fake note circulation, the Kasargod police are conducting a thorough investigation into the fake currency racket which was operative in the region  and also the case wherein fake notes amounting to Rs 30 lakhs were transported through Mangalore Airport recently. The two arrested are Abdul Jabbar and Usman of Bantwal.The case took an interesting turn when Usman revealed during interrogation that he had travelled from Dubai with two baggages, one having  Rs 24 lakhs bag and another Rs 6 lakhs  bag given to  him  by a certain Moidin Haji from Dubai.  He, it is learnt had handed over the bags to some persons whose identity he did not know.

Usman will be produced before court and the police are likely to seek his custody for a couple more days.
