Beltangady : A Massive protest rally was held in Beltangady on Friday October 25. Thousands of people participated demanding in to the CBI probe on Sowjanya case, Shop and hotel owners among others in Ujire, Guruvayankere, Aladangadi, Madantyar, Punjalakatte showed their support by observing bandh.

Esha Vittaldas Swamiji of Kemar said, Will fight till Sowjanya and her family gets justice.  There is no place more sacred than a mother’s lap. Hence, we all shall fight for justice for Sowjanya, an innocent girl who was raped and murdered brutally. Let such barbarous incidents never happen to anybody. Let us continue to fight until Sowjanya case is handed over to CBI,”

Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi presided over the protest Meet. In his presidential address he said, The Chief Minister must take actions against the case. Sorake and Abhay Chandra Jain who have been protecting the culprits must resign, thus expressing their moral responsibility.

He said that evidences are already destroyed by influential people. Ravi Poojary, en eye witness in the case, committed suicide four months ago. Our fight for justice will be escalated to the national level if justice is not achieved here.
