Mangalore: Thousands thronged the streets of Mangalore to witness the grand Shobhayatra culminating the weeklong Ganeshotsava celebrations organised by the Hindu Yuva Sene at the Nehru Maidan in Mangalore. This is the 20th year the festivities are organized by Yuva Sene.

The procession along with the beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha accompanied by several colourful tableaux depicting historical and mythological sequences, passed through various routes of Mangalore. The Yatra culminated at Carstreet where the idol was immersed in the lake of Mahamaya Temple.

The Chende team added a special touch to the procession. There were even fireworks which were a delight to watch.
