Bantwal: The policemen have succeeded in arresting three persons relating to the murder of Nasir (28) from Malaibettu in Sajipa Munnur village in the taluk a few days back. In the guise of asking for directions the four persons approached Nasir and murdered him.The arrested accused have been identified as Vijith, Anish, and Kiran, all from Manchi and the other accused, Abhijeet, is absconding and policemen are on the search for him.
District Crime intelligence bureau and the town police station together, were involved in the search operation to arrest the accused and led by town police circle inspector, K U Belliappa. Town station police sub-inspector, Nandakumar, the accused were caught and they were produced before the judge.
It was a challenge for find out the people behind the murder, as it happened late night. A number of rowdy-sheeters who indulge in such crimes were summoned to the station and questioned them. Initially the police, failed to elicit any clues about this murder, but later had to adopt to different angle in investigation to achieve success. It is said the enemies act was to take revenge and not for murdering the victim as a retaliation to an attack which occurred some days back at Salethur in the taluk.
