Udupi: Three young boys have lost their lives after being drowned in River Kallakundi near Kallu Ganapathi Temple in Kota on Feb 20, Monday.

The three deceased are identified as Karthik (12) and his brother Kaushik (7) and their relative Gautham (11).

Karthik and Kaushik were the sons of Thimmappa Poojary and Gautham was the son of Gopal Poojary of Achlady.

The incident took place when the boys were playing in the river and drowned. But luckily another boy who was playing with them managed to swim to safety.

The Kota police have registered a case.
