A group of 47 enthusiastic final-year students from the BBA (Aviation Management) and BBA (Aviation, Travel and Tourism) programs at Srinivas University’s Institute of Aviation Studies recently embarked on an exciting three-day expedition to Dandeli and Goa. The trip, meticulously planned and organized under the guidance of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, and Ms. Anjana TV, Head of Department, along with three dedicated faculty members, offered students a thrilling blend of adventure, cultural exploration, and historical discovery.
The journey kicked off with a day in Dandeli, known for its stunning rivers and adventure sports. Here, students dived into a series of exhilarating water activities, including white-water rafting, kayaking, and riverboarding, experiencing both the excitement of the river rapids and the scenic beauty of Dandeli’s natural landscape.
The students then moved to Goa, where the focus shifted from adventure to exploration. They spent time at the famous beaches of Calangute and Baga, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, golden sands, and blue waters. Their exploration also led them to the historic Fort Aguada, a landmark that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. This visit not only allowed the students to delve into Goa’s rich history but also provided a unique glimpse into the blend of Portuguese and Indian architectural heritage that defines the area.
This college tour provided the students a well-rounded experience, enabling them to explore the natural beauty, cultural richness, and historical landmarks of both Dandeli and Goa. Supervised by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Ms. Anjana , this expedition was more than just a trip; it was a chance for the students to bond, challenge themselves, and deepen their understanding of India’s diverse culture and scenic landscapes.
