Mulki : Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Abhayachandra Jain including two other ministers from the district have cheated the people by maintaining the secret of the proposed Niddodi ultra mega thermal power project.

Speaking to the media at the Yuga Purusha hall at Kinnigoli on April 29, Tuesday, Nalin said that without studying the merits and demerits of the project in the district, State Government led by CM Siddaramaiah has taken major steps to implement the project resorting to goonda politics.

He also said that ministers of the district also indirectly supported the project, hence these minister must take a delegation of the local elected representatives to the chief minister to highlight the dangers of the project if they wish the good for the district or else they must resign from the post, he informed.

The letter written by Chief Minister to Union Energy Minister to implement the project shows the double standards pursued by the government. He also assured to form a Tulunadu Ulisi Horata Samithi to fight against the projects which is against the district and people.

Bhuvanabhirama Udupa, Eshwara Kateel and Adarsha Shetty Ekkar were present.
