Mangaluru: In a tragic incident three students from an engineering college of Mangaluru city went missing while other five rescued when they washed away in River Netravati at Innoli Nadugudde near Konaje in an incident reported on Monday.

A group of eight students went for swimming and unexpectedly they washed away in the river flow as they were engaged in swimming. The locals were managed to rescue five students when the incident took place.

The students who went missing have been identified as Vishal (21), Shriram (21) and Shubham (22). A police case stands registered at Konaje police station on the incident and search is in progress to find missing boys.
