Puttur :  Forest officials Forest officials have seized a lorry which was unauthorisedly transporting timber worth Rs 4 lakhs on March 3, Sunday. The lorry was intercepted at Karvelu in Nekkilady village.

However, the driver  was successful in giving the officials a slip. The team of forest officials was led by Shivananda Acharya, senior officer and other personnel named Ramesh Nayak, Kamalaksha Shetty, Satish D’Souza and Girish.

Further investigations are in progress.
