Bangalore: Bangalore City Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji has said that motorists who fail to remove the tinted glasses of their vehicles will be subject to penalty from June 5, Tuesday onwards.
Mirji said there was no question of extending the deadline as already it was extended twice. Those caught for the first time will be subject to a penalty of Rs 100. Second time defaulters will have to pay a fine of Rs 300. Third time defaulters will not only have to pay an equal fine amount, but their driving licence will also be cancelled.
He said the police are already on the streets to look for vehicles violating the Supreme Court ruling and added there was no question of exempting anyone from adhering to this rule.
