Kasargod: In a tragic incident five people have lost their life after a tipper truck collides with an auto rickshaw at Kunnurrabavi, Payyanur on Friday.

Ganesh (38), Lalitha (32), Lisna (5), Aradhya (4) and Devaki (72) are the deceased persons.

Tipper driver lost control over the truck and the vehicle rammed into the auto rickshaw. It was a fish selling rickshaw and Devaki was not an occupant of it. She had come to buy the fish.

Other three people ave sustained with injuries. Bodies of deceased have been taken for the post-mortem.

Drunk and drive of the tipper driver has been alleged in the case. Driver has absconded since the incident took place.
