Mangaluru: A couple of hundred students from St. Aloysius High School in the city took a pledge to live in harmony with nature and spread the message through a group bicycle ride.
Members of Mangalore Bicycle Club (MBC), about 30 in numbers, too joined the initiative in line with the club’s mandate — promoting eco-friendly modes of commuting. Club president Dony Menezes and secretary Ganesh Nayak led the team.
Body builder Raymond D’Souza flagged off the harmony ride from the school premises at Light House Hill in the presence of St. Aloysius Rector Rev. Fr. Dionysius Vaz.
Students enthusiastic about conveying the message, then rode through Light House Hill Road, Bunts Hostel Road, PVS Circle, Ballal Bagh, Lady Hill and back to the school grounds.
