Bantwal:  A toddy tapper dead body found under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday at Karpe in Bantwal rural police statin limits.

The deceased has been identified as Narayana Poojary (50), a resident of Karpe.

It is said, as usual, he had left his home on Monday October 19 evening for toddy collection. He did not return home even at night, when his family members went searching, the body was found under the toddy tree.

There are suspicions about his death, either he murdered or slipped from a tree.  The truth will come out only after the post mortem reports, police said.

Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj, Bantwal rural police sub-inspector Prasanna among other visited the spot and investigating.
