Karkala :  Reshma (23), daughter of BM Iqbal, a former bank officer and Shahida who was married just in June this year and was staying with her husband Asif in Muscat, has ended her life  at her parent’s home on October 9, Wednesday. She had returned from Muscat all alone just two days ago.

 It has been gathered that her husband Asif and in-lawas were harassing her  andthis was  the reason for her suicide. She has even left a death note blaming Asif and her in-laws for her suicide. Asif and Reshma stayed at Muscat with Asif’s first wife’s son  and in-laws. All of them were reportedly torturing Reshma were making her do all household works. It is also said that they used to so ill-treat her that she was given food in the bathroom,.

There is also information that she used to often complain to her parents about the ill-treatment. Investigations are underway.
