Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district police has arrested seven persons in connection with murder of two people in Farangipete during a gang war on night of September 25. Preliminary inquiries revealed old rivalry as reason for the attack, said CH Sudheer Kumar Reddy, superintendent of police.
The arrested persons have been identified as Naufal alias Deal Naufal, 25; Amir Sohail, 24; Mohammed Fazul, 25, Adram, 29; Michcha , 24; Taslim, 24 and Arshad ,24. Reddy said soon after committing crime, accused who were in a SUV escaped to Kerala and to other destination. However, special teams found their whereabouts arrested them from various locations. Reddy did not disclose the location of arrest.
Two rowdy sheeters– Ziya, Fayaz– met a bloody end late in gang-war. The attack that took place near a hotel along Bengaluru-Mangaluru NH at Farangipete under Bantwal rural police station limits, also left three others injured.
