Mangalore: State Tourism Minister Anand Singh who was in Mangalore and Udupi on September 17, Monday to attend a few programmes almost tested the patience of the waiting press men by not speaking to them though he was reportedly scheduled to brief the press on some projects. The minister was not well behind schedule, but was also indifferent towards the waiting media.
First, the media men were at Tannirbavi as the minister was scheduled to visit the golf court proposed there. As the media waited patiently, finally MLA and Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat informed over phone that the Minister would be visiting NMPT Guest House at Tannirbavi.
There too it was a long wait for the scribes. Though the DC too had arrived, the minister arrived much later and had a closed door meeting with officials and later emerged out of the chamber and walked straight to his car. However, as media men rushed towards him to be briefed of any development, the minister was in no mood to talk to them despite them informing that they had waited for almost two hours for him. The minister left saying though he had informed a particular media man that he would address the media, and that he could not due to shortage of time.
