Mangaluru: “Publics opinion will be collected to develop the tourism sector in the district and after that new projects will be planned based on the opinions collected,” said Deputy Commissioner Dr K G Jagadeesh.
He was speaking to the gathering in an interactive session held by Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) at its office on Wednesday.
“A district level workshop has been organised on November 16 to discuss about the development of tourism sector in the district. Interested public can join the sessions and they can vote their opinion,” he said.
He further said that there are lot of opportunities to develop tourism in the district using the natural resources. Nobody has implemented proper projects here in the district to develop the tourism. There is opportunity to conduct project on it.
“Publics’ help in the development of the district and maintaining the cleanliness is very important. Separation of the waster is being done in the MCC limits, but the scientific separation of the waste is not been introduced yet. Proper plans will be discussed about it in future,” he added.
KCCI President Jeevan Saldanha, office bearers J P Menezes, Vatika Pai, Shrinivas Kamath and others were present.
