Mangaluru: The Mangaluru city traffic police will soon be equipped with a ‘Traffic Automation Centre’ which will help them get details of vehicles at the touch of a button.

The Centre is being developed under then Mangaluru Traffic Improvement Project (M-TRAC) on the lines of the Bangalore Traffic Improvement Project (B-TRAC) and Mysuru Traffic Improvement Project (M-TRAC).

So far the traffic police had to depend on the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) to get details of vehicles, but with the ‘Traffic Automation Centre’ they can get it within seconds.

The Centre will provide the traffic police with all details of vehicles registered across the state including details of the owners; further, details of any offence registered against the vehicle will also be displayed.
