Bantwal :  Traffic on NH 75was disrupted for over three hours on July 21, Sunday after two huge trees rolled on to the road due to heavy rains and strong winds. The trees damaged seven electric poles near Maani. Later the tree was cut  and removed from the road with the help of locals. The trees were nearly half a century old.

Several vehicles were queued up on the either side of the road  and people suffered inconvenience.  Vehicles coming towards Mangalore from Bangalore and vice versa as well as traffic on the Mangalore-Puttur route  also was affected.
